1pm – 3.30pm

NOTES

12.00pm: Arrival for lunch (provided) & set up art materials

1.00pm: START – Meditation & Sound

1.30pm: ART – Water Colour expression (use picture OR connection cards?)

3.00pm: SHARING – small groups or big circle

3.30pm: Afternoon Tea / Pack Up

4.30pm: Final time to vacate room

 

NOTE:

·       Day Carers to complete feedback forms before departing.

·       Overnight carers will check into hotel now for free time.

·       Artwork can be left / moved to main hotel for

$45 per person (20 – 24 carers) TBC
Includes art materials, facilitation, set up / pack down

No GST required.

Travel allowance

$200

Payment Due Date

10% paid on booking

Final payment within 3 days after workshop date

 

  1. SCOPE OF SERVICES

The Contractor agrees to provide the services outlined above ("Services") during the retreat/event with due care and skill, to the best of their knowledge and expertise, and in accordance with all requirements set out in this Agreement.

The Contractor will:

  • Deliver services efficiently, effectively, and in good faith
  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism throughout
  • Ensure all services contribute to delivering value for participants
  • Cooperate fully with Carer Escapes staff and other contractors
  • Provide all materials and be responsible for set up and pack down of equipment
  1. CONTRACTOR STATUS

The Contractor is an independent contractor and not an employee of Carer Escapes. The Contractor is solely responsible for:

  • All taxes, duties, and government charges relating to their services
  • Own insurance coverage
  • Compliance with all applicable Australian laws and regulations

 

  1. PAYMENT TERMS
  • Fee: $45 per person + Travel expenses
  • Payment Method: Bank transfer
  • Invoice Requirements: Contractor must provide a tax invoice (if ABN registered) or invoice with required details
  • Payment Timeline: 10% deposit will be paid upon booking. Remainder will be made within 3 days of retreat completion, upon receipt of invoice
  • GST: All fees are inclusive of GST. If GST-registered, invoice must include ABN and GST amount

 

  1. CODE OF CONDUCT AND CARER RECOGNITION POLICY

The Contractor acknowledges that Carer Escapes is committed to supporting Australia's unpaid carers and recognizing their invaluable contribution to our community.

  1. CONDUCT AND PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS

The Contractor agrees to:

  • Treat all participants, staff, and volunteers with respect and dignity
  • Maintain appropriate professional standards of dress and conduct
  • Use language and behaviour that is inclusive, respectful, and free from discrimination
  • Comply with all applicable laws including those relating to child safety (if relevant to the retreat)
  • Report any incidents, concerns, or breaches to the Company immediately
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information about participants

Unacceptable conduct includes but is not limited to:

  • Discrimination or harassment based on protected characteristics
  • Bullying or intimidation
  • Inappropriate use of alcohol or drugs
  • Violation of participant privacy or confidentiality
  • Any conduct that undermines the wellbeing mission of Carer Escapes

 

  1. INSURANCE

The Contractor is responsible for obtaining and maintaining appropriate professional indemnity and public liability insurance as required for their services. Evidence of current certificate of currency is to be emailed to Carer Escapes. 

 

  1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY, CONFIDENTIALITY AND NON‑SOLICITATION

 

8.1 Ownership of materials

All intellectual property in any pre‑existing materials of the Contractor remains the property of the Contractor, and all intellectual property in any pre‑existing materials of Carer Escapes remains the property of Carer Escapes. Carer Escapes does not acquire ownership of the Contractor’s intellectual property under this Agreement, and the Contractor does not acquire ownership of Carer Escapes’ intellectual property.

 

8.2 Use of Carer Escapes intellectual property

The Contractor may use Carer Escapes’ intellectual property only for the purpose of delivering the services under this Agreement and only for the Term of this Agreement. The Contractor must not reproduce, adapt, modify, disclose, commercialise or otherwise use Carer Escapes’ intellectual property (including branding, program content, retreat formats, processes, templates and resources) for any other purpose, including in the Contractor’s own business, without Carer Escapes’ prior written consent.

8.3 Confidentiality

The Contractor must keep confidential all Carer Escapes confidential information, including but not limited to intellectual property, business strategies, relationships with carers, carers’ personal information and program materials, and must not disclose or use such information except as required to perform the services or as required by law. This obligation survives the termination or expiry of this Agreement.

8.4 Non‑solicitation and non‑competition (carer offerings)

The Contractor must not, during the Term of this Agreement and for a period of 12 months after its termination or expiry, either directly or indirectly:

  1. a) solicit, approach or accept approaches from any carers, referrers, or organisational clients of Carer Escapes with whom the Contractor had contact through Carer Escapes, for the purpose of offering competing wellbeing retreats, workshops or services targeted specifically at carers; or
  2. b) use information, relationships, or goodwill developed through Carer Escapes to establish or promote any retreat, event, or service offering that is substantially similar to, or in direct competition with, Carer Escapes’ offerings for carers, without the prior written consent of Carer Escapes.

8.5 Reasonableness

The Contractor acknowledges that the restrictions in clause 8.4 are reasonably necessary to protect Carer Escapes’ legitimate interests, including its confidential information, intellectual property, and relationships with carers and funding partners.

 

  1. CONFIDENTIALITY

The Contractor agrees to:

  • Keep all participant information confidential
  • Not disclose personal details about participants or their care situations
  • Not photograph or record participants without consent
  • Treat all information obtained during the engagement as private and protected

 

  1. TERMINATION

Carer Escapes reserves the right to terminate this Agreement immediately if:

  • The Contractor breaches the Code of Conduct or Carer Recognition Policy
  • The Contractor's conduct poses a risk to participant safety or wellbeing
  • The Contractor fails to deliver services as agreed
  • The Contractor engages in any illegal activity

Upon termination, the Contractor will cease provision of services immediately.

 

  1. LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY

To the extent permitted by law:

  • The Contractor indemnifies Carer Escapes against any claims, losses, or damages arising from the Contractor's negligence, breach of this Agreement, or violation of applicable laws
  • The Contractor is responsible for any loss or damage caused by their actions or omissions
  • Carer Escapes is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury caused by the Contractor's services

 

  1. GENERAL TERMS
  • Entire Agreement: This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties
  • Governing Law: This Agreement is governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia
  • Modifications: Any changes to this Agreement must be made in writing and signed by both parties
  • Notices: Any notices must be provided in writing to the contact details below
